UPDATED:HTC Passion to hit Verizon in early 2010 with 3.5 OLED display?
From the moment word leaked about an Android version of the superstar spec'd HTC HD2 heading to Verizon, there was plenty of electricity in the air. Perhaps it was only a static shock. According to DigiTimes, the HTC Passion will be coming to Verizon, but not this year as was hoped. Instead, with the Taiwanese manufacturer working on the model's software, the word is that it will be early next year when this puppy is released. And while some of the device is similar to the HD2 such as the 1GHz Snapdragon chip under the hood, the Passion will not be equipped with the 4.3 inch display that the Windows Mobile phone features. Instead, the Passion is going to come to market with a 3.5 inch OLED screen according to the report. The handset will be running Android 2.0-or most likely 2.1 -by the time this CDMA version of the Dragon is launched. Disappointed a little?

*UPDATE*
The story gets more interesting. According to the source of the HTC roadmap story that we reported on earlier today, the HTC Passion is actually the Bravo as seen on the roadmap. The Bravo is expected to have a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and does feature a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive display. The model is supposed to launch in April 2010.
