UPDATED: The Samsung CorbyTXT and CorbyPRO – two handsets aimed at young people
This article has been updated on September 24. We have added official images of the phones and info on their specifications.

The likeable Samsung Corby S3650 has unexpectedly turned out to be the forefather of an entire family of handsets aimed at young people with the today´s announcement of the CorbyTXT B3210 and CorbyPRO B5310. What all the three phones have in common is cheerful colours and integrated social networking functions.

Actually, we have already told you about the Samsung CorbyTXT B3210 – it got showcased at IFA and it was clear even then that it would try to win over the hearts of the young. The phone comes in a classic candybar form factor and features full QWERTY keyboard, 2.2-inches display with QCIF resolution, 2-megapixel camera, FM Radio and 3.5mm jack. Similarly to the original Corby, it features a removable back panel and perhaps, the manufacturer will provide one or two of them right out of the box. The phone arrives in Europe really soon - at the end of September.

The Samsung CorbyPRO B5310 will come with an overall design that is similar to the Corby S3650, but sport a side-sliding keyboard and more impressive features – 2.8-inches QVGA screen, 3-megapixel camera, 3.5mm jack, support for 3G (HSDPA 7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi and GPS. Just like the other members of the family the CorbyPRO will offer exchangeable back covers. The handset rolls out November, at least in Europe but will land on other markets shortly after.

The prices of the Samsung CorbyTXT B3210 and CorbyPRO B5310 are still unannounced, but we expect the two devices to be more on the affordable side, similarly to the Corby.
