U.S. Cellular nabs its first Windows Phone 7 handset today, the HTC 7 Pro, for $199
The Chicago-based U.S. Cellular's six million subscribers will have access to their first Windows Phone 7 handset, starting today. The sixth largest US carrier has chosen the HTC 7 Pro for that honor, and is selling it for $199 with a data plan.
This price is after a $100 mail-in rebate that comes as a Visa debit card. To get the phone you will have to sign up for "a Belief Plan w/ Data Plus and/or new 2-year agreement. Applicable data plan required.", according to the carrier's website.
The HTC 7 Pro is the GSM version of the HTC Arrive that Sprint is already selling. It features a 3.6" LCD display with 480x800 pixels, a physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera on the back with LED flash, and the sleek interface of Windows Phone 7.
