Twitter for BlackBerry about to have full launch with some changes
The official Twitter app for BlackBerry is about to have a full launch, and with it comes some changes. After the software went into beta, many users left suggestions and this feedback from users is what RIM used to make the improvements for the download that is about to take place. The official full Twitter for BlackBerry app will now support a number of languages including Russian, Korean and Japanese. Some of the new changes coming with the full version include push-notification of Direct Messages (after all, it is a BlackBerry), a list of whose Twitter accounts you are following and whom is following you, URL shortening-a staple on most new Twitter apps-Timeline support and Auto-updates. Another new feature is the ability for the user to access any user's profile from anywhere in the app by using auto-complete functionality. The complete list of changes can be found at the source link. A slow rollout is expect starting tonight going on through tomorrow. Twitter for BlackBerry is a free download from BlackBerry App World. With RIM continuing its effort to make BlackBerry handsets useful for more than just pinstriped businessmen, having a functional Twitter app is important.
