Titan phone is coming to India, but what does the "4" mean?
WickedLeak sounds like something a frat guy would say that he needs to take, but it actually is the name of an Indian phone manufacturer. The company has started teasing its Titan handset. Despite its name, the phone will feature a screen "Optimized for One Hand Use" which suggests a display under 5-inches. The device will feature a 16MP rear camera using a Sony sensor, and the front snapper will weigh in at 8MP. The price will be north of $240 USD.
Talk is that the Titan will feature a very large capacity battery. And WickedLeak has prominently featured the number "4" in its teasers, but won't say what it stands for. It could mean that the device will have a 4400mAh cell inside, or maybe it offers 4 days of battery life. It also could represent something not related to the battery at all, like 4GB of RAM.
This isn't the first smartphone to use the Titan name. In 2011, the Windows Phone powered HTC Titan was offered to AT&T customers. The following year, the HTC Titan II was launched. Both models are discontinued. And going back even further, the Windows Mobile flavored HTC TyTN hit the market in 2006 with the sequel offered the following year.
Thanks for the tip!
