This Galaxy S8 concept image strives to be bold, beautiful and convincing
Buoyed by the alleged glass protectors for the eventual front of the Galaxy S8 that leaked not long ago, and armed with knowledge from multiple leak sources, graphics designer Lee Kingway got to work recently, and came up with what may be the most convincing artist render of how the S8 might turn out so far. We have the expected extra slim top and bottom bezels, the rumored iris scanning duo, and the lack of physical home key all dolled up in blue, white and black, nestled around a curved AMOLED display that covers the vast majority of the phone's front.
Looking around the sides, we find the alleged dedicated button for launching Samsung's new virtual assistant Bixby on the left, USB-C port at the bottom, and an honest to goodness 3.5mm audio jack, too. Given that the camera is expected to stay largely unchanged from the already pretty good S7 shooter, contrary to the previous rumors of a dual-cam setup, it's not hard to believe the shape and placement of the lens, LED flash, and heart rate monitor as well.
The only eyebrow-raiser here is the elliptical area next to the camera lens on the back, supposedly of a finger scanner, which the artist probably did as an insurance provided that the speculation about incorporating it in the bottom display part proves too much of a wishful thinking. In any case, there are two months between now and the rumored Galaxy S8 unveiling, so we hope that the real thing leaks out in official renders at some point, in order to compare it with this artist depiction below.
