The high-end ZTE Axon Pro will be launched in Canada
Officially presented last week as one of ZTE's most advanced smartphones to date, the Axon is already available to pre-order in the US, where it's going to start shipping in late July. But will the handset be released in other markets? Well, according to Mobile Syrup, ZTE confirmed that the Axon will also be launched in Canada sometime this summer. Since the smartphone costs $449 (unlocked) in the US, we assume its price will be similar in Canada.
ZTE seems to be a bit confused regarding the name of its new handset, calling it both Axon, and Axon Pro. Anyway, what's really interesting about the phone is that, although it costs less than $500, it offers features that you'd normally find on much more expensive devices: a 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) screen, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 4 GB of RAM, hi-fi sound, 13 MP dual rear camera, and an 8 MP front-facing camera. You can take a closer look at the new handset by checking out our ZTE Axon hands-on (video included).

ZTE didn't say if it's planning to launch the Axon (or a similar device) in other regions besides North America. But we assume it won't be long before we find out more about this.
