The first video ad for the Samsung Gear S is here and it's mostly "meh"
With Samsung's latest Android Wear smartwatch, the Gear S, already on the shelves in its homeland, it was more than natural for the tech giant to release a video ad for its greatest wearable to date. The ad is already here, but it is not as inspiring or witty as some of some of the other ads that promote Samsung's gadgets. This one takes a rather conservative approach and simply lists the different functionalities of the device, while also pointing out in what types of situations the Gear S might be helpful to you.
Sporting a 2.5D 2" Super AMOLED display with resolution of 360 x 480, a dual-core 1GHz Samsung Exynos processor, 512MB of RAM, 4 GB of on-board storage, a 300mAh battery, and, last but not least, a SIM card slot, the Samsung Gear S is undoubtedly the most power-laden Android Wear smartwatch that Samsung has released. To further expand the functionalities of the device, Sammy has also thrown in a deep bag of sensors, such as a heart rate monitor, barometer, and a UV light sensor.
Earlier today, we told you that Samsung has sold some 10,000 units of the gadget during its launch day, and probably nobody know how the gadget's performing on the North American market. At the moment, it's available from AT&T and Sprint, but we also know that Verizon and T-Mobile will also add it to their portfolios in the foreseeable future.
