The dedicated Facebook app for WP7 updated
The dedicated Facebook app for Windows Phone 7 has been updated to version 1.1 and it adds photo tagging and Facebook Places, although some much-needed features like the Facebook chat are still not present.
However, there are third-party Facebook apps (like Facebook IM) that support some of the features that are missing in the official app, not to mention WP7's native integration with the social network.
Furthermore this is only version 1.1 and it's sure that many improvements are coming sooner rather than later, especially if Microsoft's new mobile OS gains some momentum. As some Androiders know very well, the official Facebook app for the green robot has been lagging behind its iOS counterpart until recently, but with the new 1.5 update that came only a few weeks ago, users of the two hottest mobile platforms (at the moment) are enjoying pretty much the same variety of options.
The dedicated Facebook app is now available (probably not for everyone, though, but it's coming) in the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace, so you can give it a try if you wish.
