UMi is a China-based company that not many in the Western Hemisphere have heard of. But that doesn't stop the company from launching interesting smartphones, like the recently announced UMi Iron, which features an iris scanner, a 7.9mm-thin metal body, and a 3350 mAh battery.

Right now, UMi is getting ready to unveil another handset that's worthy of our attention. Called UMi Zero 2, the new smartphone seemingly has two displays: a regular one on the front, and an e-ink one on the back.

UMi already revealed two teaser images showing the Zero 2, allowing us to see that, besides what looks like an e-ink display, the handset's rear also hosts a camera with LED flash. On the front, we can notice Android Lollipop software keys, plus a home button a la Samsung. Judging by its name, the UMi Zero 2 is the successor to last year's UMi Zero, which likely means it's a high-end device.

The two screens of the UMi Zero 2 make it a direct competitor to the YotaPhone 2 (which sports a 5-inch 1080p main display, and a secondary, 4.7-inch e-ink screen with 540 x 960 pixels).

There's no word on when UMi plans to launch the Zero 2, and neither for what price. But we assume we'll hear more about this in the near future.
