The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 to hit the shelves next month
We´ve got bad news for the fans of powerful Windows phones. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will not roll out by the end of this year as planned and according to one of Sony Ericsson´s official blogs, the manufacturer´s second Windows Mobile device will be released in the first week of January 2010 instead. At the official announcement of the handset the manufacturer stated the device would roll out in Q4 2009. Strangely, one of the carriers to offer the XPERIA X2, Vodafone, indicates their sales of the handset are to take off December 2009.
The delay is due to problems relating to the proper integration of Internet applications. Moreover, the manufacturer seems to be working on improving the battery life and optimizing the phone software as well. This is great new, because we hope the retail units of the XPERIA X2 come out free from annoying bugs, but we also do hope the device will hit the shelves in the first week of January as promised.
