The Samsung SCH-U3xx series for Verizon Wireless has always been known for being budget-friendly for those individuals looking for a basic mobile phone without a lot of unnecessary features. We've seen this with the Samsung
Knack U310, the
U340, and most recently with the
Samsung Smooth U350 that was released
April of 2009.
Now a new model has passed through the FCC, the Samsung U360, which the Bluetooth.org site is calling the Smooth 2. All we know at this point is that the
Samsung Smooth 2 U360 will remain a flip-phone and is said to have better noise cancellation, a larger screen (the Smooth U350 screen is 1.90"), more memory, larger address book, and is updated to Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. However, the Smooth 2 will keep the VGA resolution camera, and remain a 1X data device (no EVDO). There is also no mention of it having a microSD memory card slot, but that isn't to be expected.
