The Samsung Genoa C3510 – the European name of the Corby Pop?
Some time ago we told you about the affordable version of the Samsung Corby S3650 intended for the Indian market and called the Corby Pop. It seems it´s on its way to the Old Continent as well, but under a different name, the Samsung Genoa C3510. The piece of information seems accurate, assuming the details posted at the Czech website of the manufacturer and by a Turkish online store are correct. The full specifications of the device are already available at Samsung´s Russian website, where, on the other hand, the cell phone does not have any name in particular. The differences between the Samsung Genoa C3510 and the real Mc´Coy seem to be minor – aside from its slightly refreshed overall design, the cheaper version sports 1.3 instead of 2-megapixel camera, while all the other hardware specs remain the same, including the 2.8-inch capacitive screen, Bluetooth, FM radio and microSD slot.
The price of the handset indicated by the Turkish online store (150 EUR) appears to be pretty high though, not to mention the initial information about the the device had it the handset would roll out with a price tag of about 100 EUR in order to remain cheaper and more affordable than the Samsung Corby S3650.
