Rumors are floating about on the Internet that a cheaper version of the Samsung Corby S3650, a popular handset with youthful design is to hit the shelves across India quite soon. Called the Corby Pop, it will come with 1.3-megapixel camera (instead of 2-megapixel), FM radio, 22MB built-in memory (50MB with the real McCoy) and 960mAh battery that, according to the rumors, will deliver no less but 8 hours of continuous talk time. Finally, the overall design of the cell phone will probably remain unaltered.
The word also has it the downscale hardware equates to a price difference of almost $40 between the Samsung Corby S3650 and Corby Pop, meaning the more affordable version will probably roll out with a retail price tag of about $150. We still do not have any information on whether or not the manufacturer plans to offer the cheaper handset outside of India.
