The Samsung Caliber and Trill roll out through US Cellular soon
Thanks to one of our anonymous tipsters, we have found out more details about two handsets that are to appear in the product catalogue of US Cellular really soon, according to the information contained in internal documentation. We are talking about the Samsung Caliber R850 and Trill R520. We have recently mentioned the former in our news section, when we found out it had been granted FCC´s blessing. We made a guess the Samsung Caliber R850 would feature a touch sensitive screen and we seem to have hit the nail on the head. We now know that it measures 3.2 inches, sports WQVGA (240x400 pixel) resolution and supports 262k colours. Moreover, the Samsung Caliber R850 comes with 3-megapixel camera with flash, microSD slot (cards of up to 16GB), full HTML browser and TouchWiz interface. Judging by the pictures, this is the latest version of Samsung´s software tailored for feature phones with touch sensitive screens, precisely the same the Samsung Jet S8000 that we have recently reviewed runs.

On the other hand, the Samsung Trill R520 is a music oriented slider phone with 3.5mm jack, 1GB built-in memory and support for microSDHC cards of larger capacity - up to 32GB. The other specifications include 2.2-inch display, 1.3-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth. Finally, the utilization of latest Bang & Olufsen ICEpower technology probably means the phone will deliver great sound quality.

We still do not have specific information on when exactly the Samsung Caliber R850 and Trill R520 hit the shelves or with what kind of price tags. We hope both devices get officially announced soon.
