The LG Optimus GK is like the LG Optimus G Pro, but with a 5 inch screen
Looking for a way to take on the Samsung Galaxy S4 with its 5 inch screen, fellow Korean manufacturer LG has introduced the LG Optimus GK on Monday morning. This is a shrunk down version of the LG Optimus G Pro that takes the 5.5 inch screen of the latter and makes it a more manageable 5 inches. The rest of the specs remain the same except for the pixel density which rises from 401ppi on the larger screened device to 441ppi on the 5 inch model.
The LG Optimus GK so far is scheduled to be released in South Korea only and does include some of the same features found on the LG Optimus G Pro such as VR Panorama, which helps users stitch together a series of photos into one panoramic shot. Dual Camera, which allows for the use of the front and rear camera at the same time, is another feature found on both LG phones. And both models offer Smart Video, which uses the front-facing camera to determine if the person using the phone is still watching a video on the device's screen. Once the camera "sees" that there are no eyes on the screen, the video is paused.
So far, LG has not announced a launch date or a price for the LG Optimus GK.
