The HTC One M9 is now available to pre-order in Europe, and it's not cheap
HTC is now officially taking pre-orders for the brand new One M9 smartphone, but only in Germany (we're not really sure why pre-orders aren't also available in other countries).
Folks in Germany have to pay €749.99 if they want to pre-order an M9 right now. Only the gold variant of the handset is currently available, with the gunmetal grey and silver ones expected to arrive starting March 31. Later this month is also when the One M9 will be released around the world. Last week, Best Buy US had listed, for a short period of time, its own price for an unlocked HTC One M9: $649. We certainly hope that this is the actual price that the new handset will have when it launches in the US.
As you may know, the HTC One M9 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI, and brings various improvements over last year's One (M8), including an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, a 20 MP rear camera, Dolby Audio to compliment the BoomSound speakers, 3 GB of RAM, and a 2840 mAh battery. Make sure to check out our HTC One M9 hands-on for a detailed look at the new flagship.
