The HTC A50C said to be an upcoming, upper-end Desire phone with octa-core processor and 13MP camera
Almost a dozen devices have come out from HTC in these past five months, making 2015 one of the most active years for the company. Of course, some of the devices on the list are regional flavors and whatnot, but they still indicate that the Taiwanese maker is getting pretty serious with its portfolio. In fact, according to serial leakster, @upleaks, the company is already working on a new, high-end Desire series device.
Dubbed HTC A50C, we're told to expect a phablet-sized phone with a 5.5-inch, 720 x 1280 pixel resolution display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6753T processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. On the imaging front, we're looking at a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. Both shooters are, apparently, of a Samsung make (S5K3L2XX/S5K5E2YA, respectively). The A50C supports two SIM slots, and should arrive on the scene with Android 5.0 Lollipop and HTC's Sense 7 skin on board.
Seeing as this is a dual SIM variant, we're fairly confident that this particular model isn't meant for much of the Western world. According to the source, the device is currently only confirmed for arrival in China, but we can imagine that other Asian nations will also get to see the A50C. When, however, is a question we currently have no answer for.
