Cherry Mobile is a Philippine company that in the past sold a dual-core 4 inch Android model for $100, and a 5 inch phablet for $110. Now comes the Cherry Mobile Thunder which actually offers some decent specs for the price. Consider this, a 4.5 inch FWGA (480 x 854) screen with a pixel density of 218ppi (hey, we've seen worse!), a dual-core 1GHz MediaTek processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of native storage. The latter can be expanded with the use of the 32GB capacity microSD slot. The two cameras weigh in at 5MP and .3MP on back and front respectively.

The device also features dual SIM cards which isn't unusual for this type of device. SIM card numero uno will support 3G/HSDPA will the second SIM card supports GPRS speeds. Calls and messages can be received on both, but only one SIM card can be active at a time. Running on Android 4.0, the phone is priced at 4,999 PhP or $125 USD. This unit will not blow out your budget, but neither will it give you some of the amenities that you might have grown accustomed to such as Gorilla Glass, a decently sized battery and 4G connectivity.

The Cherry Mobile Thunder is available exclusively from online retailer Lazada, and you can click on the sourcelink for more information.
