The CTIA E-Tech award roster includes two mysterious LG phones
The CTIA Expo is fast approaching, and two handsets listed simply as "LG Mobile Phones" make company of the HTC Thunderbolt, Motorola ATRIX 4G, and the LG Revolution in the finalists listing.
There are 14 categories in total for these E-Tech (emerging tech) awards that are held each year, and we should know pretty soon what are these two mysterious LG handsets in the Phones/Smartphones category. One option is the LG G2X, which is a version of the first dual-core phone LG Optimus 2X, headed for T-Mobile. The other one could be the LG Optimus 3D, which again could be heading to one of the big four US carriers.
Both devices certainly deserve recognition for being the first dual-core, and the first 3D-enabled phones, respectively, and will make LG score 3 out of 5 awards in total, which is an amazing comeback for a company that last year was struggling to find its identity in the cell phone business.
We will be at the CTIA to report the news firsthand, so refresh often come March 22nd for the festivities.
