It has conquered nearly every conceivable platform out there, so it’s no surprise to find that Rovio’s immensely popular Angry Birds is coming to the BlackBerry PlayBook.
Yesterday, we all heard the magnificent set of news regarding the PlayBook’s increased functionality with things like BBM, Facebook, and video chat support, but today’s announcement of Angry Birds should be especially tasteful. Although no specific date was mentioned during the announcement, it should be arriving sometime soon to give early adopters of the tablet some much needed time killing. Naturally, it should present owners plenty of enjoyment, but nonetheless, we’re sure that owners are truly starving for some killer apps and increased productive functionality.
In any event, Rovio will obviously benefit once as again seeing that their reach has crossed into just about every notable platform out there. Passing the 140 million download mark last month, we’ll no doubt see that figure continue to climb when it’s launched for the PlayBook.
