Tennis star David Ferrer tweets his love for Samsung Galaxy S4 from his iPhone
We have seen this stuff before but it is always worthy of noting because of the overt irony involved. Earlier today, Spanish tennis champ David Ferrer took to Twitter to share how happy he was with his new Samsung Galaxy S4 and how configuring S Health was going to help him with his training.
As luck would have it, Ferrer sent that Tweet from his iPhone and almost immediately the folks among his 368,000 followers caught on, took screen images and spread the word before the tweet was removed.
The damage is done however, and even the Spanish edition of The Huffington Post did a write up about the Twitter-faux-pas. The last high-profile tweet that raised the eyebrow of irony was when Oprah sent a tweet to her 18 million followers endorsing the Microsoft Surface RT from her iPad.
Ferrer’s Twitter account re-tweeted his endorsement of the Galaxy S4, this time not tweeted from an iOS device, but the fans were on to him, taunting him with ribs like “iPhoneGalaxy4” and the like. In the meantime, Ferrer needs to get back to training.
