Target & Sam's Club are the next two to join the ranks with the iPhone
Even though it might look as though sales are sailing smoothly for Apple's one of a kind iPhone, they are always additional outlets where the smartphone can be made available to achieve a greater reach of customers.
Apple's iPhone 4 is already being sold by a few retailers outside of Apple and AT&T stores, such as Best Buy and RadioShack, but now you can add both Target and Sam's Club to the growing list. People familiar with the matter say that the notion regarding the iPhone started to move along steadily last month after Target stores were in the final stages of rolling out the iPad. With their combined efforts with RadioShack, Target is basically adding roughly 850 mobile phone centers in their 1,743 locations nationwide. Target's decision to bring the iPhone comes from seeing the competition, specifically Best Buy and Wal-Mart, bringing the heat to them in this vast space.
In addition, Sam's Club officially stated in a conference call today that they too, will be offering the iPhone on top of the iPad some time down the road. The move is only fitting seeing that they are a subsidiary of Wal-Mart and naturally will follow closely to what the big time retailer offers.
