TWRP custom recovery now supports seven more Android devices including the LG G5 and Moto E4
If you like to customize your Android phone, you're probably familiar with TWRP custom recovery, which is the most popular such image for Android handsets. TWRP allows users to modify their handset using custom ROMs. Besides helping you install custom ROMs, TWRP allows you to make backups, root your phone and more. TWRP supports a large number of Android phones and tablets, and seven more models are now added to that list.
The new devices that now have TWRP support can be found below, and include a link to the TWRP needed for each device:
- LG G5 - US unlocked (rs988)
- Motorola Moto E4 (woods)
- Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 (a3y17lte)
- Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime (on5xelte)
- Sony Xperia X (suzu)
- Sony Xperia X Compact (kugo)
- Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (jason)
As an alternative to clicking on the above links, you can install the TWRP app. It will also alert you when a new version of TWRP is available for your device. While some features on the app work without root access, you will only be able to flash images to a phone or tablet that is rooted. To see the Google Play Store listing of the app, click on this link.
