TAG Heuer's Connected Modular 45 smartwatch specs and price leaked ahead of official announcement
TAG Heuer confirmed a few days ago it will launch a new smartwatch today, March 14. The wearable device hasn't been announced yet, but the Swiss company already posted some info on the smartwatch on its official website (crazy, right?).
Apparently, the smartwatch will be called TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45, and it will be available for purchase in the United States for $1,650.
As expected, the Connected Modular 45 will be powered by Android Wear 2.0, and it will pack all the features you would expect from a modern, high-end smartwatch.
But the most interesting aspect lies in the fact that those who decide to purchase it will be able to switch between the Connected (smartwatch) module and the mechanical module. Unlike the previous TAG Heuer Connected smartwatch, the Modular version will come with “Swiss Made” certification thanks to this mechanical module.
These accessories will be available in various colors including black, blue, red, yellow, green, orange, electric blue, and white. Ceramic straps and titanium bracelets will be available too for those looking for something more exquisite.
Specs-wise, the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 will be equipped with an Intel-based chip, 4GB storage and an AMOLED display of unknown size. It will also feature water resistance, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC (Near Field Communication) and Android Pay support.
We don't have information about the battery's size, but it's supposed to last more than 24 hours, which is quite decent for a smartwatch.

According to TAG Heuer, customers will be able to choose from a wide range of materials, colors, and combinations. Besides the two swappable modules, the smartwatch will also feature interchangeable lugs, straps, and buckles.
