Being the first carrier in the US to sell the BlackBerry Bold 9700, T-Mobile's version of the device will be getting a new software update when May 11 rolls along. Not everything might be working so well on the smartphone, but the software update aims to remedy those issues to bump up the overall experience. Some of the new features include increased general OS stability, improvements to the messaging experience, visual voicemail improvements, mobile backup support, trackpad performance improvement, and a fix to resolve 3G drop call issues. Some lucky owners will be treated to the update a bit earlier starting on the week of April 26 – which is always a welcomed thing. As for everyone else, the update will become available via OTA starting on May 11. Even though we're beginning to see the BlackBerry Bold 9650 starting to take precedence, the current Bold king is still the Bold 9700.
