When two separate leaks both show an event happening on the same date, the odds are pretty good that the leaks have it nailed. Take the HTC One (and frankly, who wouldn't?). Early on Monday, we showed you a leaked planogram that revealed an April 24th launch date for the HTC One. AT&T and Sprint both are launching the device on April 19th, and Verizon is planning on sitting this one out.
Later Monday night, the earlier leaked launch date for the T-Mobile variant of the HTC One was confirmed. A leaked memo made it clear that as of April 24th, the HTC One will be available at select T-Mobile retail and branded locations, online and at telesales. Additionally, from April 24th through April 28th, T-Mobile reps are being asked to wear new HTC t-shirts that are coming to the stores this week..
This means that starting on Friday, we should see the stunning new flagship handset priced at $199.99 on both Sprint and AT&T with a signed two-year pact. That is for the 32GB model. AT&T will have an exclusive for the 64GB unit at $299.99 on contract. A week from tomorrow, the scene shifts to T-Mobile for its launch. No longer offering subsidized pricing for phones at its corporate owned locations and online, the HTC One should require a down payment of $99.99 and 24 monthly installments to pay off the balance of the phone.
