There's no arguing that T-Mobile probably added additional customers after they chopped the price of the Samsung Vibrant in half yesterday, but there is still that resounding issue regarding the handset's GPS issue. As we heard already, Samsung expects to have an update available to their line of Galaxy S phones by September, but it seems that T-Mobile will relay the same information to their customers; somewhat. There was a communication sent out to T-Mobile sales reps stating that the software update is “coming soon” for the GPS afflicted Samsung Vibrant – which mirrors to what Samsung has mentioned previously. Instead of providing the September time frame, reps are being told to say that it'll be coming in the “next few weeks” – meaning that there is that slight possibility of an August release, but it can also fall into September if they require some breathing room.
