After
Verizon, Sprint and
AT&T kicked off Android Nougat rollout for the
Galaxy Note 5, now it's T-Mobile's turn to start seeding the update. Those of you who still rock Samsung's phablet and have a T-Mobile SIM card inside it should expect to receive the update any day now.
According to Desmond Smith, T-Mobile's Senior Product Manager, Android 7.0 Nougat for
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was approved on Friday, April 22, so customers should start to see it early this week.
Well, it looks like the update is already available for download now via
Samsung Smart Switch if you don't want to wait for the OTA file to hit your smartphone.
T-Mobile is the last major carrier to provide customers with the long-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy Note 5. However, the Uncarrier won't stop here, so if you own a
Galaxy S6 edge+, then you'll be pleased to know that the smartphone will be getting the update, too.
Since all the update approvals will be announced by T-Mobile on Twitter, we'll learn about the upcoming Nougat updates a few days ahead of their rollout, so stay tuned for more info if you own another smartphone that has yet to receive Android 7.0.
