Essentially being offered by just about every company out there, T-Mobile is finally joining the bandwagon when it comes to offering money for your old set of devices collecting dust with its own trade-in program.
They’re collaborating with The Wireless Source, which is a leader in consumer electronics programs, where customers have the opportunity of fetching up to $300 for their old devices. Actually, the process requires you to go into a T-Mobile store where it’ll be inspected to meet a minimum set of criteria before receiving a quote. From there, they’ll process a check in the amount of the quoted value, which will ultimately sent to you in the form of a mail-in rebate. Customers will then get a voucher, shipping label, and bubble pack to send out their device to The Wireless Source – with the check arriving afterwards.
Although it’s not as simple as actually getting a discount off a handset while at the store, it’s still better than allowing that two-year old handset to continue collecting dust in the basement. Plus, you can always use that quickly earned cash for other things – say like one of their new 4G capable smartphones.
