T-Mobile officially welcomes Samsung Memoir to their line-up
Looking more like a camera than the touchscreen cellphone it is, the Samsung Memoir has been officially welcomed into the -Mobile family. Loaded with an 8MP camera, a Xenon flash and 16x digital zoom, this device is designed to take the highest quality pictures available from a handset. If you recall, the news that this device would include a Xenon flash was broken right here at PhoneArena. With Samsung's new photo widget, pictures can be uploaded to photo sharing sites like Flickr, Snapfish, photobucket and the Kodak Gallery. This unit is about more than just taking pictures. Running on T-Mobile's 3G network, the Memoir runs the TouchWiz interface and has a virtual QWERTY keyboard and a-GPS among its features. While no precise date was mentioned in the press release, a leaked marketing sheet for T-Mobile sales reps indicates a launch date of February 25th with a cost of $299.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a new two year contract. With the 25th close to three weeks away, all that's left is to, "Say Cheese!"
