T-Mobile is pushing out OTA update for the G2 to enable Wi-Fi calling
Don't forget to check your handset since today is the day when T-Mobile is expected to be rolling out an over-the-air update for the T-Mobile G2.
Naturally, this updated version, 1.22.532.8, will finally bring support to Wi-Fi calling which will enable owners the flexibility of connecting to a Wi-Fi hotspot in the event they're not getting adequate connection to the network. Not only that, but the update will also bring forth some bug fixes to better improve the overall experience of the handset. Some of these fixes include resolving device freezing issues, random power-off problems, improves data connection reliability, and optimizes the radio recovery.
You can manually check to see if it's available for your handset, if not, you'll simply have to wait until it finally manages to roll along. Regardless, we'd imagine that there are going to be plenty of people happy to see all the new fixes and features for their handset.
