T-Mobile announces the Samsung Galaxy S III, coming June 21
After Sprint announced it will be holding a Samsung-related press event June 12, and Verizon's Galaxy S III leaked on its own homepage, now it's actually T-Mobile that beat everybody to the punch and outright announced the handset.
Yet T-Mobile calls the two color versions that will be on its network Ceramic White and Metallic Blue, so the jury is still out until we actually see one.
T-Mobile will be launching the handset June 21 on all channels, and, yes, it looks exactly like the international version on the carrier's sign-up page, so we can chalk that weird hue that was supposed to replace the Pebble Blue cover to bad video lighting.
More importantly, the Galaxy S III for T-Mobile is indeed going to be stuffed with 2GB of RAM, as recently announced by Samsung. The rest of the specs are 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 4.8" Super AMOLED display, and 42Mbps HSDPA radio, so it will take advantage of everything T-Mobile's network has to offer. As for price - no info is given in T-Mobile's press release just yet, but we'd wager to guess it won't differ from Sprint and Verizon's models which pegged it at $199.99 for the 16GB, and just $250 for the 32GB version.
