You might remember that T-Mobile revealed its April Fool's Day joke early. The company's Phone BoothE was supposed to be a soundproof enclosure that would allow T-Mobile subscribers to use their phones without being distracted by ambient noises. This was not only the carrier's April's Fools Day joke for 2019, but it also was a shot at AT&T's 5G Evolution service, which is not really 5G at all. Besides using the controversial name, AT&T also allows its phones to show a 5G E icon in the status bar when connected to the service. The fact that this could be misleading to certain AT&T subscribers was borne out in a report by CiviScience that was cited by T-Mobile. The report found that 97% of AT&T's own customers aware of the 5G Evolution service say the name is somewhat or very misleading.

Regardless, T-Mobile says it isn't joking around about three new deals that are now available to both new and existing T-Mobile subscribers. The first deal allows those purchasing a new phone from the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup, to get a Galaxy S10e free thanks to a $750 monthly bill credit. Instead of a free Galaxy S10e, you can decide instead to take $750 off the price of the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ through the use of monthly bill credits. You must add a new line to qualify for this deal.

The second deal will give you up to $300 in monthly bill credits when you buy an Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max with a qualifying trade-in. T-Mobile will give you the $300 if your trade is an Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus; Samsung Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note 8; Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel, Pixel XL; LG G7, V30, V30+ and the One Plus 6T. All trades must be in good condition or better.

The third deal announced by T-Mobile today offers two unlimited lines with two smartphones for only $100/month on T-Mobile Essentials. With the latter plan, you might experience slower data speeds than other customers when there is network congestion. And if you consume over 50GB of data each month, your data speed could be even slower. Those taking T-Mobile up on this deal must sign up for AutoPay, and they can select two free handsets including the T-Mobile REVVL, REVVL Plus, REVVL 2, and more.
