Budget-friendly Alcatel 7 could arrive at T-Mobile as REVVL 2 Plus
Alcatel 7 made its debut in the United States about two months ago, but the phone is exclusively available at MetroPCS for $180 outright. However, it appears that the exclusivity period is about to end, as T-Mobile is getting ready to launch the affordable Android smartphone.
Although we don't know when exactly the phone will hit T-Mobile stores or how much it will cost, there's a high chance that it will be launched under a different name: REVVL 2 Plus. The sequel to the REVVL Plus has slightly better specs but replaces the Qualcomm chipset with a MediaTek MT6763T (Helio P23) processor.
Evidence that the Alcatel 7 could be renamed before it makes its debut at T-Mobile appears in the Google Play Console, where a new REVVL 2 Plus device has just popped up and the render on the product pages shows a phone similar to the Alcatel 7.
Not to mention that all REVVL 2 Plus specs listed in the Google Play Console match those of the Alcatel 7, which is now available at MetroPCS. So, it's just a matter of when rather than if the affordable smartphone will be introduced by T-Mobile.
