Sygic to upgrade its navigation app with live fuel consumption estimates and prices for car travelers
Sygic is making more moves into better servicing the millions of drivers taking its navigation app on the road. Starting June 7, the software will start notifying users of estimated fuel costs while they travel. With information provided by the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), drivers will have access to live oil prices and get fuel cost estimates based on the kind of car they drive. By entering details about its model and age, users can get more accurate predictions of their fuel usage throughout the trip from Sygic.
In April, Sygic made Heads-Up Display and DashCam features free for premium users, and gave away the Speed Cameras feature for free. The Heads-Up Display (HUD) feature uses the smartphone screen to project navigation data on the car's windshield, the Dashcam feature uses your smartphone camera to record everything that happens on the road, and the Speed Cameras feature supplies drivers with offline and online Speed Camera warnings.
Sygic can be used for free (with optional paid functionality) and is available on Android, iOS, and Windows 10 Mobile.
