Swype to release final beta version today for all Android owners
Swype has made World Record holders out of its users and makes typing quicker, easier and more fun with its side swiping action. 6 handsets have the technology available for users out of the box, a number that will reach 50 phones by the end of the year, including the Motorola DROID X as we reported yesterday. Besides the owners of those 6 phones, 25,000 people were lucky enough to grab a beta version of the software earlier this year-a timed beta that will expire shortly. But Swype users should not worry because starting today, the final beta is supposed to be made available to all Android owners. It is not the final release, so it is not available yet on the Android Market. But this beta is expected to be ready for you to download from the source link sometime later today. For those who are not familiar with Swype, the video below explains how it works while the second video shows how a Swype user broke a World's Record.
