SwiftKey to offer note taking app for iOS?
A tweet from evleaks reveals that SwiftKey is finally coming to iOS. But before you get too excited, the third party QWERTY developer is actually offering a note taking application called SwiftKey Note. A screenshot of SwiftKey Note shows the app using a keyboard similar in appearance to the default QWERTY on iOS 7, but with an autocorrect line above it.
SwiftKey has remained a popular application for Android users who are not happy with the virtual QWERTY on their device. The company has branched out from the Google Play Store, working with BlackBerry on the virtual QWERTY for BlackBerry 10 and has even worked with Samsung to improve the Korean manufacturer's virtual keyboard.
What is unknown is whether SwiftKey will be offering Notes as a stand-alone app, or if it will be offered to developers for inclusion in other apps. There is the possibility that a SwiftKey SDK could be released for iOS developers, something that rival Flesky has already done.
