Sprint to start selling HTC Snap on June 21st?
As we've reported, the HTC Snap is already available at Radio Shack and at Best Buy where the device is offered off-contract at $519.99. While originally Sprint was expected to launch their version of the phone on June 7th, the new date for Sprint to release the handset is June 21st, a date that InformationWeek says came from Sprint after the carrier decided to wait for the release of the Palm Pre to pass before putting the Snap out on the shelf. The pin-dropping network plans on selling the device for $149.99 with your signature on a two year contract.
The HTC Snap features a physical QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4 inch QVGA display, 2MP camera and it all runs off Windows Mobile Standard 6.1. And while Sprint appears to be the first U.S. carrier to get the unit, T-Mobile and Verizon are expected to offer their version of the Snap in the not too distant future.
