Sprint now offers the ZTE Optik 2, a 7 inch Android slate for $29.99
Looking for an Android tablet that won't leave a gaping hole in your wallet? On Friday, Sprint announced that it is offering the ZTE Optik 2 for just $29.99. The tablet is available from Sprint's website or through its Business Sales, and you will need to sign a new two-year contract with the carrier.
The ZTE Optik 2 features a 7 inch screen and is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8625Q CPU. 1GB of RAM is on board along with 8GB of native storage. A 32GB capacity microSD slot allows you to add storage. The slate has a pair of snappers with a 5MP camera on back and a 2MP camera up front. The 4000mAh cell keeps the lights on, and Android 4.1.2 is pre-installed.
You can hook up your new ZTE Optik 2 with one of Sprint's Tablet Connection plans which includes a limited time offer giving you 2GB of data for $15 a month. Other monthly options include 25MB of data for $5, 100MB for $10, 3GB of data for $34.99 and 6GB of data for $49.99. For you data fiends, you can obtain 12GB of data a month for $79.99.
The ZTE Optik 2 can also be used as a mobile hotspot allowing up to 5 devices to connect online using Wi-Fi. $19.99 will get you 2GB of data while $49.99 will get you 6GB of the sweet stuff.
