Sprint launches Windows Mobile 6.5 with Sense 2.5 for Touch Pro2
Motorola and Verizon-take notes. This is how an update should be done. Last week, we reported about a document that pointed toward a Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade this month for the HTC Touch Pro2. And now, Sprint has indeed released the upgrade which can be obtained by downloading the ROM from this HTC support page. Besides upgrading the OS to Windows Mobile 6.5, the Touch Pro2 will now have HTC's Sense 2.5 on board. It is important to note that this upgrade will work only on the Sprint CDMA version of the Touch Pro2. Before the specs and pictures of what was then called the HTC Leo were released, the Touch Pro2 was the super sexy handset of the moment. Launched on all four of the nation's largest carriers, the model has remained popular. Sprint had taken the longest of the four to upgrade the phone, but the reason is clear with the 2.5 version of the Sense UI included on its upgraded version; the other three carriers released their upgrade with the 2.1 build.
