In a surprising move, Sprint announced it has decided to add its fourth 5G device to its portfolio, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. Along with the new smartphone, Sprint confirmed it has expanded its 5G service to four additional markets in the US: New York City, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Washington D.C.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will be available from Sprint beginning August 27 in select 5G market retail stores and on August 28 via Sprint's online store. Starting September 6, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will be available in all Sprint retail channels.
As far as the price goes, customers will be able to get OnePlus' 5G-enabled smartphone for just $20 per month for a limited time with 0$ down and Sprint Flex lease, which lets them save more than 40% on the device.
If you plan to buy any of Sprint's 5G device, you'll want to know that the carrier's 5G network is now available in nine cities: Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Kansas City, Huston, Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Washington D.C.
Sprint, just like all other major carriers in the US, doesn't offer full network coverage in either of the markets, so you'll have to check out the list of locations where you'll be able to get 5G network signal.
For example, in New York City, Sprint True Mobile 5G will cover approximately 1.7 million people with service available in parts of Manhattan from Central Park to the southern tip. In Los Angeles, the carrier will cover approximately 1.2 million people with service available from Marina del Rey to Downtown L.A., and West Hollywood to Culver City.
Furthermore, Sprint True Mobile 5G will cover approximately 740,000 people with service available across the greater Phoenix metro area with service in parts of Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale and Glendale. Last but not least, Sprint will cover approximately 520,000 people with service available around the US Capitol, the White House, the National Mall, Foggy Bottom, Downtown, and a lot more areas.
