Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 lands enhancements for WM 6.5
Everyone that jumped on the wagon in offering a variant of the HTC Touch Pro2 made a gamble when figuring out what date to have an optimized release. Sprint of course launched their version before Windows Mobile 6.5 officially launched to get a head start, but many would believe that an upgrade to the latest version would come soon afterwards. With the month almost halfway complete, Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 owners have finally come to learn that the device will indeed see the upgrade; officially with some much needed new enhancements. Although no specific date has been set, the vague time period is slated for sometime “by the end of the first quarter, 2010.” Whichever way you want to take it, at least a clear picture is in line for owners to look forward to. We would’ve seen the same version of WM 6.5 on other variants, like the HTC Tilt2 for AT&T, if it were released sooner. On the other hand, placing the release towards a later date would probably see some of the new features we’ve seen running on handset at CES – such as the new Outlook threaded view; we hope.
