Need a BitTorrent client for your Android device? Here's a huge favorite among the fandroid crowd. It's called Flud and it stands for making mobile leeching/seeding a simple and elegant experience. Like any good torrent client, it lets you share and download files easily with your phone and tablet. The app is made to harness the computing power of modern mobile hardware, which means you get unlimited download/upload speeds, torrents with a large number of files, and downloads over 4GB in size (unless you download on a 32GB microSD card).

That aside, Flud offers pretty much everything you'd expect from a competent torrent client, including the ability to select which files to download, set file/folder priorities, magnet link support, encryption, IP filtering, proxies, protocol support (NAT-PMP, DHT, UPnP, µTP, PeX), moving files while downloading, and other convenient functionality. Android KitKat (Android 4.4) users must note that the operating system won't let apps write to the external SD card. This is not a bug in the app, and you can still download files in the folder 'Android/data/com.delphicoder.flud/' on your external SD card. But note that that folder is deleted when Flud is uninstalled.

Being an up to date Android app, Flud has a clean Material interface, an optimized UI for tablet users, and comes with Light and Dark themes. It's being actively developed, with new features in the pipeline coming as soon as they have been cooked up. The app is free to use, but is ad-supported. So if you like how it works and don't want to be pestered by banners, you can buy the ad-free version for around $2 (link). Happy leeching/seeding!
