Specs leak for Xiaomi Mi 5s: 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, Snapdragon 821 SoC and 3490mAh battery
Back in June, we told you to expect the Xiaomi Mi 5s to look just like the regular Xiaomi Mi 5, but stuffed with some big time upgrades in specs. In addition, we told you to expect the phone to be released before the end of the year. Today, specs for the phone surfaced in the form of a screenshot. And what this leak reveals sounds quite enticing.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a 5.15-inch screen with Force Touch. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with a quad-core 2.4GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM runs at a zippier clock speed of 1866MHz, and 256GB of UFS 2.0 storage is inside. Previously, there was talk about a version with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, and a premium version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. The camera on back is 16MP, and is equipped with 4 axis optical image stabilization and an aperture of f/1.8. PDAF focus is also included.

A 3490mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Qualcomm's fast charge 3.0 is on board. A USB Type-C port replaces the microUSB port. Measuring 7.25mm thick, the phone weighs 147 grams and supports NFC. That means that the Mi 5s could work with Xiaomi Pay. And Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will reportedly be employed.
