Sony's ultra-thin Xperia T3 launches in India, free Sony Smartband included
Already released in Hong Kong, Sony’s Xperia T3 is slowly but surely making its way to other countries, and the next to get it will be India - the world’s second largest mobile market.
Sony today officially introduced the Xperia T3 in India, where the handset will go on sale on July 28. The T3 costs around $450 (26,990 INR) there, and pre-orders are available as we type this. Flipkart, one of India’s largest online retailers, is offering a free Sony Smartband and a free “Premium Case” to all customers who are buying the new Xperia. The handset can be purchased in black, white, or purple.
Announced as the world’s slimmest 5.3-inch smartphone (7mm), the Xperia T3 features an 8MP rear camera, 1.1MP front-facing camera, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal memory, and a 2,500 mAh battery. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat and looks pretty stylish - thanks in no small part to a stainless steel frame. Sony is obviously aware of the handset’s appeal, and it’s calling it Xperia Style in Germany, though the rest of the world will still know it as the T3.
