Sony has released a video today, teasing its upcoming Ghostbusters World AR game. A demo of the game will be available to those attending MWC in Barcelona, which starts this coming Monday. What is interesting is that the ghosts in the game will include not only those seen in the movies, but will also feature those that haunted the comics, video games, television shows and theme parks. And new ghosts will be created specifically for the game.

Besides Sony Pictures Entertainment Consumer Products, others getting credit include Ghost Corp, FourThirtyThree, and NextAge. Director/Producer Ivan Reitman, who wore both hats for the original Ghostbusters movie said, "The Ghostbusters Universe is rich in characters and Ghostbusters World is the perfect medium to get to know these characters in a whole new dimension."

Ghostbusters World isn't the only upcoming AR Game on the horizon. Developer Niantic, responsible for starting the mobile AR gaming trend with Pokemon Go, has a mobile AR title in the works for this year which will center on the Harry Potter universe. The game is tentatively titled "Harry Potter: Wizards Unite."

Ghostbusters World will be unveiled at the Game Developers Conference in March. It will be available for both the iOS and Android platforms. Based on the teaser, it appears that the object of the game will be to catch ghosts on players' phones.
