Sony Xperia Z5 is official, comes with the world's fastest autofocusing rear camera - 0.03 seconds
The specs sheet of the Sony Xperia Z5 is, to say the least, a rather well-endowed one. All those hoping that the Z5 will feature a Quad HD display will probably be disappointed to learn that Sony put a 5.2-inch one. It has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, which means that the display has a pixel density of 423ppi. Under the hood, there's a 64-bit, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, with four Cortex-A57 cores and another four Cortex-A53 singing in a big.LITTLE concert.
On the memory front, there are 3GB of RAM for your multi-tasking endeavors, while users will be able to make use of up to 32GB of native storage on the Xperia Z5. We also have a microSD card slot on board. Android 5.1 runs the show, with Sony's Xperia UI atop. The battery of the device is a 2,900mAh one, which allegedly delivers up to two days of battery life (and we're inclined to believe Sony's claims).
At the back, we have a 23MP camera with Sony's 1/2.3" Exmor RS sensor, while the front side of the phone bears a 5MP selfie shooter with an Exmor R sensor and a wide-angle 25mm lens. Sony went all-in with the rear camera, which comes with the world's fastest 0.03s autofocus, 5x Clear Image Zoom, up to ISO12800 for photos and ISO3200 for videos, improved Steady Shot features, as well as 4K video recording.
Pricing and availability are not yet known, but we suppose the device will hit the majority of global markets in the following months. We will provide you with updates on the pricing and availability as soon as we know more about it.
