The
Xperia Z3+ and Z3+ Dual are the latest Sony smartphones to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The Japanese company has been pretty active in the first weeks of 2017, as the entire Xperia Z5 family got the update earlier this week.
If you've got either of the two Xperia smartphones, then you should check for a new update with firmware number 32.3.A.0.372. It's the same build that the
Xperia Z5 family received recently and it will update the Xperia Z3+ and Z3 Dual to Android 7.0 Nougat.
It's also worth mentioning the update also contains the
December security patch. The official changelog also mentions multi-window support, which should allow users to run two apps at the same time, as well as switch between them by double tapping. Sony also promises longer battery life with Android 7.0 Nougat, but that remains to be seen.
The Japanese handset maker is now seeding Android 7.0 Nougat to a small percentage of
Xperia Z3+ and Z3+ Dual users, but the rollout should be expanded to a larger audience over the coming days.
