Wondering when to expect the release of the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact? According to the rules of a raffle being held by Vodafone for its reps, it looks like the two new Sony models will be released not too long after they are unveiled at IFA in Berlin, this September. Follow the bouncing ball. The raffle runs from July 1st through September 30th.
Each rep earns points based on which handset or tablet that he or she sells to a consumer. The rep will earn one point selling a Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S5 mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. A Vodafone rep earns one and a half points for selling the HTC One (M8), the HTC One mini (M8) and a variety of Sony devices. Among those listed is the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.
Taking a common sense approach, you can't earn a point and a half selling a phone that is not available. Thus, the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact will have to have been released before September 30th. We'd guess that the phone would have to have been released for a couple of weeks to be included in the raffle. With IFA opening on September 5th, we could see the two models unveiled around then, with a quick launch afterward.
Vodafone raffle rules show both the Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact available during September
